Let the excitement levels rise as you search for your dream wedding venue. Swooning over the glorious California venues, it's easy to fall in love with luxury resorts, glamorous hotels, rustic ranches and chic chapels. Then there are wineries, gardens, historic homes, churches, ocean view decks and even museums that are possible places to host your best day ever. While we are blessed to have so many gorgeous wedding venues in LA, California and beyond, at some point, it can be a little overwhelming. So let's break it down, so you can eliminate some venues that might be beautiful but not suitable for your wedding.
First Step:
The first step is deciding how many guests you will invite. It is essential to choose a venue big enough to accommodate your numbers. Count everyone you will invite (rather than the number you expect will attend). You will be surprised how many people will love to attend your day, especially if you are having a destination wedding. Also, add a few extra guests, for you may make new friends between now and your wedding day, especially if you are a very social couple.
Second Step:
Now it's time to start searching online. Make a list of all the places that fit your numbers, budget and expectations. If you can match up these factors, you will be overjoyed. Next, reach out to your favorite wedding venues to ask for information. Note the timeliness and tone of the reply, as this is the kind of service you can expect going forward. Are they fast to reply? Do they offer congrats as well as useful information with options?
Third Step:
Finally, you should make a short list of places to visit if possible. Many couples do everything online if they don't live near the venue, but seeing wedding venues in person at least once is ideal. Sometimes the place you expect to love most will be your second or third choice. Like the chemistry between people, the feeling you get walking into a ceremony or reception space is unexplainable and can range from bliss to blah.
