During Alyssa and Victor's engagement shoot, they shared their vision for their wedding day. They wanted a pretty backyard venue for a romantic and intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends to share their joy. But, in reality, they created something so timeless and sophisticated with their Airbnb rental that it almost resembled a fine-art wedding.



The groom told me how camera-shy they were during the engagement shoot, especially Alyssa. The first shoot allowed us to practice some poses and show them how they are very photogenic, even though they didn't realize it. On the wedding day, Alyssa was excited about being photographed and her mindset had changed. With permission to share elation with her loved ones, and confident that my posing instructions would result in stunning images, timeless moments were captured.

The day started with the bride getting ready for her first look with her bridesmaids. Alyssa's baby blue wedding dress overlayed in intricate lace was stunning and we love it when brides choose a dress with some drama. Her hair was done by Elyssa, her childhood friend, a fantastic hair stylist and she worked with Alexandra from The Final Touch Bridal to complete the most beautiful bridal look. The bridal party and parents all wore outfits in blue hues inspired by that amazing Lace Bridal gown the bride wore.

The first look was lovely as the couple glimpsed each other looking their best. We followed the first look with a father-daughter first look, which was maybe even more emotional.

The family and bridal party were nearby and we had plenty of time for photos before the ceremony. 

Emotion, love and joy was in the air as the couple exchanged their vows and rings in front of a round archway of white florals and greenery. Their friends and family were smiling throughout the entire ceremony, that was everything a backyard wedding should be.

Hanging light bulbs and wooden Tiffany chairs gave the setting a rustic style that matched the happy and carefree mood of everyone gathered together for the wedding. 

And from this point on, I had the privilege to capture the dreamiest of moments between the two couples at Mile Square Regional Park...

The couple were gleefully happy and celebrated the night away with great food, drink, speeches, cake and dancing. It was a pleasure to photograph this lovely California wedding in Fountain Valley and we wish the couple all the happiness in the world.
