Chris and Nicole's dreamy wedding is one we will always remember. At DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Pedro - Port of LA, it was a celebration full of love and joy.

If there was a perfect example of an intimate wedding that is half day and simple, Nicole and Chris' moment is the perfect illustration. The couple wanted to just keep things simple and so we skipped the getting-ready session and pointed our lenses to document the first look. As a wedding photographer, first looks are a highlight of the day as it enhances the mood that is already wonderful and is such a gift for the couple. This first look was sensational for so many reasons. The obvious excitement and delight at seeing each other were evident before they even locked eyes. The backdrop of luxury boats and scenic pier complimented our glamorous couple's look just perfectly. It was a moment just for them and felt similar to an elopement as they basked in pure happiness.

Especially the bride was so in the moment, she seemed to become oblivious to the camera as the love flowed between them. They continued this sweet bond throughout the day with moments carved out only for them, even when there was a room full of guests.

Dressed in soft lilac with matching bouquets, the bridal party girls arrived with just as much excitement about the day as the couple. The boys were close behind and we had time to photograph the happy group before the ceremony.

It was a lovely summery wedding scene with an archway of large pink and purple flowers in front of a blooming flower garden. Even the officiant was wearing a floral dress, so it was flowers all around! An uplifting ceremony in the sun with plenty of laughter and glee started after Nicole glided down the aisle looking like she had just stepped out of a bridal magazine. They exchanged meaningful vows and rings before being announced as married and sealed the occasion with a kiss.

While final preparations were made for the reception, we had glorious light for more bridal portraits focusing on the couple since we'd done some bridal party photos earlier. And so the spirit of intimacy and pure bliss between the couples were captured effortlessly through their wedding portraits. 

As the sun started to set, it was time to party. The couple sat at a sweetheart table to dine, listen to the speeches and then hit the dance floor. It was a gorgeous celebration and we were so happy to be a part of it. The spirit of an intimate wedding continued throughout the reception as I adored the cute little cake on the side with a dinosaur figurine made especially for the groom!
